Courtyard Garden

The morning light was just beautiful around this La Jolla house and garden. But in the courtyard that lovely light became a challenge. The house created harsh shadows across the space. Sometimes you can’t avoid doing some post processing work in situations like this. But you can decrease your work later if you pay attention to the shadows and highlights in your photos. This well established garden was so beautiful and had some great details — like the brickwork, comfortable seating area, statue placement and plant choices. While challenging to shoot in places it was worth the extra effort because the photos captured this great design perfectly!
